Congo: Jean-Pierre Bemba bribery trial: one year sentence is “a good deal” for former vice president

The former vice-President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Jean-Pierre Bemba has been sentenced to 12 months for witness tampering. However, he will not be returning to jail. The International Criminal Court says the conviction is considered time served.
